# Senior Business Analyst / Data Analyst

## About the Role

Remote Career is seeking a Senior Business Analyst / Data Analyst for a 100% remote, 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity. This role combines business analysis and data analysis within complex U.S. healthcare environments, with a focus on healthcare clinical and administrative data, data warehousing, business intelligence, cloud technologies, and large datasets.

The successful candidate will analyze business and data requirements, develop functional and technical specifications, evaluate complex system and data issues, and collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, QA analysts, solution architects, and project management teams. Strong experience with healthcare data, relational databases, SQL, source-to-target mapping, and SDLC is essential.

## Key Responsibilities

• * Evaluate business requirements and prepare detailed functional and technical specifications according to project guidelines.
• * Collaborate with project stakeholders and technical teams on enhancements, changes, issues, and defects affecting development, data, workflows, and functionality.
• * Present written and verbal data analysis findings to project teams and business stakeholders.
• * Perform complex system and data analysis to develop design solutions.
• * Document, discuss, and resolve business, data, and reporting issues across functional teams and with business stakeholders.
• * Work closely with developers and Quality Assurance Analysts to ensure requirements and designs are clearly understood.
• * Communicate solution and design details to stakeholders across varying organizational levels.
• * Act as a liaison between Business Analysts, Business Systems Analysts, Solution Architects, Developers, and project management groups.
• * Present and objectively evaluate design solutions.
• * Facilitate conflict resolution among project stakeholders.
• * Work with business teams to develop solutions that support long-term business objectives.
• * Ensure IT deliverables align with business requirements and produce measurable results.
• * Collaborate with QA teams to ensure testing efforts align with system deliveries and business processes.

## Required Qualifications

• * 5+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst in a large, complex U.S. healthcare organization.
• * 5+ years of data analysis and data profiling experience within healthcare clinical and/or administrative data domains.
• * 5+ years of source-to-target mapping experience, including complex business rules, within healthcare clinical and/or administrative data domains.
• * 5+ years of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience.
• * 3+ years of experience communicating with senior-level business leaders and stakeholders.
• * 5+ years of experience with relational databases.
• * 3+ years of experience creating advanced SQL queries.
• * 3+ years of experience working with large datasets, including data warehouse and/or big data projects.
