Job Description

Safal Partners is seeking a Data Analyst to support a federal workforce development contract with the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). The Data Analyst will work closely with program analysts and internal staff to perform data cleaning, integration, validation, reporting, and dashboard support . The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights in a fast-paced federal consulting environment.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Performs data cleaning, integration, validation, and preparation of standardized analytic files
  • Supports dashboard updates, maintenance, and routine reporting across program workstreams
  • Develops and maintains databases, data collection systems, and analytic workflows that optimize efficiency and data quality
  • Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends and patterns in complex datasets
  • Reviews data outputs, reports, and performance indicators to identify and resolve data quality issues
  • Collaborates with program analysts and internal staff to ensure data outputs meet project requirements and timelines
  • Assists with preparation of data summaries, visualizations, and materials for stakeholder review
  • Supports internal knowledge management and documentation of data processes and methodologies

Required Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of relevant data analysis experience
  • Must be willing and able to work onsite in Washington, DC
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate large amounts of information with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with platforms such as SharePoint, Smartsheet, or similar tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • All contractor personnel must pass a background check with no evidence of federal, state, or local felony charges or convictions prior to assignment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (e.g., R, Python, SPSS, SAS)
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel)
  • Experience with reporting and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Experience supporting federal or state-funded initiatives
  • Familiarity with data governance practices and principles
