About The Role
The 340B Data Analyst at Community Health Centers of the Central Coast plays a vital role in managing and analyzing data related to the 340B Drug Pricing Program. Under the supervision of the 340B Director, this position is responsible for developing detailed reports that support strategic decision-making, ensuring compliance, and tracking the financial impact of the 340B program on the organization. The analyst will perform comprehensive chart reviews, verify medication and referral documentation, and collaborate with internal teams, external pharmacies, vendors, and regulatory agencies to ensure all program requirements are met. This role demands a detail-oriented, analytical professional with strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy and confidentiality.
Qualifications
To successfully fulfill the responsibilities of this role, candidates should possess a four-year degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, or data analysis. Prior experience working with healthcare data, especially within the 340B program, is preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, and other relevant software is essential. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to interpret complex documents and reports. A solid understanding of mathematical concepts, including rates, ratios, and percentages, is required. The ability to apply logical reasoning to solve problems and adapt to evolving priorities is crucial. Valid California Driver's License (Class C) is necessary, along with the ability to pass background checks and health screenings as mandated by the organization.
Responsibilities
The 340B Data Analyst's primary duties include analyzing 340B reports to identify patient charts requiring review for documentation accuracy, medication reconciliation, and referral verification. The analyst will perform detailed chart reviews to ensure all required elements are present and work with specialty clinics or referral departments to retrieve missing documentation. Collaborating with pharmacies, the analyst will obtain prescription records to support claims and ensure medication documentation aligns with program requirements. The role involves extensive interaction with external vendors, insurance providers, and internal departments to facilitate accurate data collection and compliance.
The analyst will verify 340B claims reports, review invoice pricing, and prepare financial documentation to support billing and reimbursement processes. They will assist in developing reports, charts, and tables to guide program decisions and contribute to oversight and fiscal year-end reconciliation efforts. Additionally, the role involves analyzing financial data to identify trends, propose solutions, and ensure accuracy in invoicing and reporting. The analyst will also support the 340B oversight committee by preparing relevant reports and participating in strategic discussions.
Other responsibilities include maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service, adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality policies, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. The analyst must demonstrate excellent organizational skills, manage multiple priorities effectively, and meet deadlines consistently. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed is required to support the organization’s operational needs.
