Job Summary
The Strategy and Performance Group (SPG) is currently seeking a management consultant to support Federal agencies in organizational assessment and development with an emphasis on data analytics, data visualization, and business process improvement. Experience with Federal agencies, either as a contractor or Federal employee, and experience with data analytics/visualization is a functional requirement. Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (i.e., PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI) is preferred but not required.
The position also requires demonstrated experience in management consulting such as meeting with clients, assessing and evaluating client requests and needs, and working with clients, stakeholders, and teammates to identify, develop, and implement solutions for clients.
The consultant must have experience working on a project team, providing status updates, and other common task management functions. Finally, the position requires experience with developing reports/briefings, presenting findings to clients and stakeholders, and explaining the value add of the implemented tools, products, and solutions.
This Successful Consultant Will Be Able To:
- Support the evaluation of client requirements and goals and contribute to the development of appropriate strategies, solutions, and associated work products to support the assigned task,
- Support the development and implementation of data analytics and visualization tools and processes,
- Provide day-to-day collaboration and input to team members on assigned tasks,
- Support the design, development, and delivery of work products and/or deliverables,
- Support the implementation of client-accepted recommendations,
- Prepare briefings and PowerPoint decks, memos, and emails,
- Maintain files on SharePoint/Teams and ensure version control and archiving of all final work products,
- Participate in client meetings and briefings with key stakeholders,
- Manage timelines, schedules, status reporting, and prepare monthly reports, and
- Ability to support development and implementation of tools and processes in the Microsoft Power Platform is preferred.
While there may be some need for occasional in-person meetings, this is a remote-work position.
Candidate’s Profile
Qualified Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria:
- Education: An advanced degree in I/O Psychology, Data Science, Statistics, Business Administration or a related field. Prior relevant work experience may be substituted for the advanced degree requirement,
- Experience: 3+ years of human capital (or comparable field) consulting experience,
- Technical Skills - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills,
- Experience creating written documentation for different stakeholders (e.g., leadership, offices) including full length reports, one-pagers, white papers, summary documents, etc.,
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the demonstrated ability to communicate and build rapport with colleagues and clients,
- Strong general analytical skills,
- Experience developing and implementing data analytics and visualization products (Microsoft Power Platform experience is a plus),
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and other data collection/analysis platforms,
- Excellent Microsoft Office 365 skills (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Security Clearance: Ability to apply for and receive a federal security clearance (existing CBP clearance is a plus),
- US Citizenship Required
- Role Requirements: Ability to travel to customer sites, as required.
- The likely salary range for this position is $72,877 - $98,599. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
