Role Description This part-time, remote Cybersecurity Analyst / Engineer role focuses on protecting LEDex’s digital assets, systems, and data. The role involves monitoring networks and applications for security threats, analyzing alerts, and responding to incidents in a timely and structured manner. Responsibilities include performing malware analysis, supporting secure application design and configuration, and enforcing network and application security best practices. The Cybersecurity Analyst / Engineer will collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess risks, implement security controls, and document findings, procedures, and recommendations. The role also includes staying current with emerging cybersecurity threats, tools, and frameworks to continuously improve LEDex’s security posture.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Cybersecurity and Malware Analysis skills for identifying, investigating, and mitigating threats.
Candidates should possess solid Application Security skills for reviewing, hardening, and maintaining secure applications and platforms.
Candidates should possess robust Network Security skills for monitoring, configuring, and protecting network infrastructure.
Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills for interpreting logs, correlating events, and making data-driven security decisions.
Relevant experience with security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection) and common security frameworks or standards.
Familiarity with secure coding practices, vulnerability assessment, and incident response processes is beneficial.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document technical findings and explain risks to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred education includes a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP) are a plus.
