  • Role Description The Cyber Security Analyst role at PPLIED is a full-time remote position responsible for protecting the platform’s systems, data, and infrastructure from cyber threats. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring security events, analyzing logs, and investigating suspicious activity across applications and networks. The analyst will perform vulnerability assessments, support secure application development practices, and assist with incident response activities, including remediation and documentation. This role also involves collaborating with engineering and product teams to improve security controls, updating security policies and procedures, and staying current with emerging threats and security best practices. The analyst will contribute to continuous improvement of PPLIED’s security posture to maintain trust and safety for all platform users.
  • Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of Cybersecurity fundamentals and proven Analytical Skills to assess risks, interpret security data, and make informed decisions.
  • Experience with Application Security practices, including secure coding principles, vulnerability identification, and remediation for web and cloud-based platforms.
  • Proficiency in Network Security, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and network monitoring tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Malware Analysis, threat detection, and incident investigation using relevant tools and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with security standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, OWASP) and common SIEM and endpoint protection solutions.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISSP, or GIAC are beneficial.
