About the Opportunity

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Analyst to support regulatory compliance and reporting activities within a fast-paced commodities and environmental markets organization (oil and gas). This role is responsible for tracking renewable fuel and environmental credit programs, maintaining compliance records, reconciling large datasets, and ensuring accurate regulatory reporting.
  • This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of energy, sustainability, and regulatory compliance while interacting with external partners, customers, and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain compliance with renewable fuel and environmental credit programs
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports in accordance with applicable requirements
  • Reconcile transaction data, inventory records, and compliance balances
  • Analyze large datasets using Excel and other reporting tools
  • Investigate discrepancies and coordinate resolutions with internal and external parties
  • Support audits and regulatory inquiries through documentation and reporting
  • Maintain accurate records and compliance documentation
  • Collaborate with commercial, operations, accounting, and compliance teams to ensure reporting accuracy
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Environmental Studies, Supply Chain, Accounting, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in compliance, operations, analytics, regulatory reporting, or related functions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reconciliation
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Renewable Identification Numbers (RINs)
  • Experience with Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) programs
  • Experience with Clean Fuel Regulations (CFR) or similar environmental compliance programs
  • Experience in renewable fuels, energy, environmental commodities, or related industries
  • Knowledge of regulatory reporting and audit support processes
