POSITION

Our client is seeking a QC & Data Management Specialist II to support clinical data quality and study documentation at its Walnut Creek location. This role will review research records for accuracy and completeness, enter and reconcile clinical trial data, resolve discrepancies and queries, and work closely with site teams and sponsor representatives. The position is well suited for someone with prior clinical research experience who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across multiple studies and systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review study charts and source documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with study protocols, GCP, and internal procedures
  • Enter clinical trial data into CRF and eCRF systems accurately and within required timelines
  • Identify missing, inconsistent, or discrepant information and partner with clinical research staff to resolve issues
  • Manage and resolve open data queries while supporting sponsor monitoring visits and other study-related reviews
  • Collaborate with coordinators, investigators, sponsors, CROs, and internal teams to maintain high-quality study data
  • Help train newer team members and contribute to process improvements and department initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 1-3+ years of experience in clinical research, biological research, or a closely related environment
  • Working knowledge of clinical research quality control practices and basic Good Clinical Practice requirements
  • Familiarity with clinical trial documentation, medical terminology, research concepts, and CRF/eCRF systems
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with clinical site teams, sponsors, CROs, and other research partners
