  • BayWa r.e. Americas Projects & Services is a subsidiary of BayWa r.e., a leading global developer, service provider, distributor, and energy solutions provider. BayWa r.e. has a development pipeline exceeding 22 GW and over 10 GW in assets under management.

Purpose

BayWa r.e. Americas is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate, Pricing and Analytics to join our Structured Finance team.

The Associate/Senior Associate, Pricing and Analytics owns the analytical engine behind BayWa r.e.’s asset valuation, financing, and portfolio decisions. This role is responsible for all internal model efforts for asset modeling supporting Structured Finance, serving as the central modeling resource that bridges the Structured Finance, Development, and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) functions. The Associate/Senior Associate ensures that the Company’s view of asset economics is consistent, rigorous, and clearly communicated from deal teams through to corporate finance and management. A large component of the role will be working directly with Project Developers to problem solve the early-stage asset modeling and helping them better understand the key value drivers on their projects.

The role manages the Company’s suite of template models for tax equity, debt financing, merchant curve analysis, and project valuation; leads the PPA pricing process on behalf of the Structured Finance team; and is responsible for regular reporting from Structured Finance to FP&A. The Senior Associate also trains the broader project team on modeling concepts and best practices and reports pricing and analytical results to management.

Competencies include advanced abilities to comprehend, analyze, frame, and resolve complex analytical issues and distill them into simple-to-understand analysis for management decision-making; communicate key valuation drivers, benefits, and risks to senior management; and provide expertise and support to other BayWa r.e. departments requiring financial consulting services or financial training. The Senior Associate, Pricing and Analytics will work closely with colleagues across Structured Finance, FP&A, Development, and Origination to deliver consistent, decision-grade analytics.

Reponsibilities we will trust you with

  • Owning all internal model efforts for asset modeling in support of Structured Finance, including project-level valuation, tax equity, debt financing, and merchant/energy price curve analysis.
  • Managing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Company’s suite of template models, ensuring version control, standardized assumptions, documentation, and consistency across deals and asset classes (solar, wind, and storage).
  • Leading the PPA pricing process on behalf of the Structured Finance team—building and running pricing analyses to support bilateral proposals, competitive bids, and origination opportunities, and recommending pricing outcomes.
  • Serving as the analytical bridge between Structured Finance, Development, and FP&A, ensuring asset-level economics, assumptions, and results flow consistently into corporate forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Owning regular reporting from Structured Finance to FP&A, including periodic delivery of model outputs, valuation updates, pricing results, and variance analysis to support liquidity forecasting, budgeting, and management reporting.
  • Training and mentoring the broader project team (Structured Finance, Development, Origination, and FP&A) on modeling concepts, model mechanics, and best practices to raise analytical capability across the organization.
  • Reporting pricing and analytical results to management, distilling complex modeling outputs into clear, decision-ready summaries, dashboards, and key performance indicators.
  • Conducting financial modeling and pricing analysis to support investment decisions, bilateral proposals, competitive bids, and M&A opportunities, and developing independent sensitivities and scenario analysis.
  • Collaborating with team members on financial models including reviewing capital expenditures, operating costs, energy price curves for wind and solar production, and battery dispatch models.
  • Sitting second chair on transaction models for tax equity, debt financing, and merchant curve analysis—reviewing inputs and logic and ensuring accuracy across the Structured Finance modeling suite.
  • Analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators, and communicating financial results and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Coordinating between Structured Finance and other project teams (Development, Origination/Commercial, EPC, Legal, and FP&A) to ensure good communication, consistent assumptions, and transparency across the Company.
  • Leading process initiatives to improve modeling standards, pricing workflows, and analytical reporting, and suggesting improvements to both Structured Finance and FP&A reporting.

  • Proven track record in analyzing cash flow models and developing independent sensitivities.
  • Experience with PPA pricing, project valuation, and/or tax equity and debt financing structures strongly preferred.
