Role Description The Business Development Manager – AI Data Center Infrastructure will lead client acquisition and growth initiatives related to power and infrastructure solutions for AI-focused data centers. This full-time hybrid role is based in Houston, TX, with flexibility for some work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, managing a pipeline of prospective clients, and developing proposals and commercial strategies that align with client needs and company capabilities. The role will involve coordinating with technical and advisory teams to shape offerings, conducting market and competitor analysis, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders in energy, utilities, real estate, and technology sectors. The Business Development Manager will also negotiate commercial terms, support deal structuring, and provide regular reporting on business development activities and performance metrics.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or commercial strategy within energy, infrastructure, technology, or related sectors.
Understanding of data center infrastructure, AI workloads, power markets, or grid connectivity, with the ability to learn technical concepts quickly.
Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, relationship management, and negotiation to develop and close complex commercial opportunities.
Ability to perform market research, financial and commercial analysis, and prepare clear, persuasive proposals and presentations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical and commercial concepts to diverse audiences.
Comfort working in a hybrid environment in Houston, TX, collaborating effectively with cross-functional and remote teams.
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, finance, economics, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
Proactive, organized, and results-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
Prior experience in consulting, project development, or investment advisory for energy or data centers is highly beneficial.
