About the Role
Our goal is to build the most capable team ever assembled and the firm is now hiring a Business Development Analyst to be based in its Ballantyne office. This individual will support a broad range of tasks and projects for the firm. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly capable early-career professional to learn how to invest and support growth-stage companies. Over time, there may be opportunities for advancement, professional development, and domestic and international travel.
Responsibilities
Supporting the full investment process — helping source and screen potential opportunities, conduct due diligence, and evaluate growth-stage companies
Performing online and offline research on target companies, industries, and markets, and organizing it into clear, useful summaries, briefs, and investment materials for the team
Helping keep the firm's deal pipeline and CRM well-organized and current as investment conversations progress (Note: Pioneer Equity Partners uses HubSpot as its CRM platform)
Interacting with the range of professionals involved in the investment process, including company executives, founders, intermediaries, accountants, bankers, lawyers, and other investors
Using AI tools to accelerate research, drafting, analysis, and everyday work — and continually looking for ways to integrate AI into how the firm operates and invests
Managing the details of office operations so the team can stay focused on high-value work
Being willing and able to take on anything — from high-level analysis to the small details that keep deals moving. No job is too big or too small, and the right person runs toward whatever the team needs
Qualifications
College degree with a high GPA; at least two years of professional experience
Sense of urgency, attention to detail, can be trusted with confidential information
Excellent listener, humble, and quick learner
Flexibility; willingness to work some nights and occasional weekends
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience using Microsoft Office applications and common social media platforms; genuine eagerness to work with AI
Exceptionally capable, (clean) sense of humor, and humble
Excellent references, and clean background check
Other
This role is based at the office. It is not virtual nor hybrid. The hours will generally be 8am to 6pm, Monday through Friday. As noted above, some evenings and occasional weekends will be required.
Compensation will include a base salary in the $60,000–$70,000 range plus bonus opportunity.
There will be multiple rounds of interviews for the role as well as an extensive reference and background check process.
