Business Analyst – VCU Health Urology

About VCU Health Urology

  • VCU Health Urology provides care to adult patients with bladder, kidney, and prostate cancers, as well as patients with various mobility issues and other urologic conditions and diseases.
  • Our team of RNs, LPNs, CMAs, and PCTs works collaboratively to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. Our RNs work directly with patients to perform clinical visits and procedures, including urethral and suprapubic catheter exchanges, PTNS treatments, and void trials. They also assist with procedures such as cystoscopies and vasectomies.
  • We understand the importance of developing trust with our patients and consistently put our patients first.

Position Summary

  • The Business Analyst provides business analysis and operational support across areas that may include:
  • Business and decision analytics
  • Financial planning and management
  • Budgeting
  • Procurement
  • General business operations
  • Facilities management
  • Staff supervision
  • Performance improvement initiatives
  • Information technology coordination
  • The Business Analyst works collaboratively with administration, nursing, and medical staff to support effective operations and informed decision-making.
  • The position assists with identifying issues related to existing programs and recommending effective and timely solutions. The Business Analyst also assists in ensuring compliance with applicable governmental rules and regulations.
  • Additional responsibilities may include performing ad hoc data analysis and developing reports and dashboards to support senior management in making business and operational decisions.

  • Required Experience
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Finance, IT, Human Resources, Benefits, or Accounting.
  • Experience performing data and information analysis with strong financial and critical-thinking skills.
  • Previous experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Compensation
  • Payroll
  • Benefits
  • Insurance
  • Contracts
  • Business administration
  • Process improvement
  • Data analytics
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience using spreadsheets, databases, and report-writing software.
  • Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably an academic medical center or physician practice.
  • Compensation experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR), preferably Cerner.
  • Required Education and Training
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred Education and Training
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Accounting, Human Resources, or another job-related field from an accredited program.

The successful candidate must be able to:

  • Conduct analysis and work independently with minimal supervision.

Compensation

Salary Range: $58,697.60 – $87,942.40

Actual salary offers will be based on several factors, including relevant work experience, credentials, and qualifications.
