About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Grant Funding and Post-Award Management Specialist to join our team. This role involves managing the financial aspects of grants, ensuring compliance with funding regulations, and supporting the overall success of our research and healthcare programs. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of budgeting and financial monitoring, and the ability to produce clear and accurate reports. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic healthcare environment, collaborating with various departments to ensure that grant-funded projects are executed efficiently and in accordance with all contractual obligations.
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is required. Prior experience in grant management, post-award financial oversight, or healthcare funding is highly preferred. Knowledge of federal and state legislation related to healthcare funding and grants is advantageous. Strong proficiency in financial software, data analysis, and report generation is essential. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
Performs specialized functions in the areas of grant funding and post-award management. This individual will exhibit strong skills in budgeting, monitoring fiscal and operational variances, internal reporting, and contract compliance. Produces a variety of reports, presentations, and templates to support the completion of program requirements in a timely and efficient manner.
Develops and manages budgets for grant-funded projects, ensuring alignment with organizational and funding agency guidelines. Monitors expenditures and fiscal activities to identify and resolve variances promptly. Ensures compliance with all contractual obligations and regulatory requirements related to funding sources. Collaborates with program staff to facilitate accurate reporting and documentation. Maintains comprehensive records and documentation for audit purposes. Supports the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including funding agencies and regulatory bodies. Assists in the development of policies and procedures related to grant management and financial oversight. Provides guidance and training to staff involved in grant-related activities to ensure adherence to best practices and compliance standards.
