Vernovis is partnering with an established organization in the Dayton area seeking a Business Analyst – IT to support enterprise technology systems, improve business processes, and drive adoption of key business applications. This is an excellent opportunity for a Business Analyst with several years of experience who enjoys working with stakeholders, analyzing business processes and data, and leveraging technology to solve business challenges.

What You’ll Do:

• Partner with business and IT stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements
• Analyze and optimize business workflows across enterprise applications and processes
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation
• Support enterprise technology platforms through implementation, enhancements, testing, and ongoing improvements
• Coordinate software releases, integrations, and change management activities across business teams
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect tracking, and end-user training initiatives
• Create and maintain documentation including process flows, training materials, release notes, and knowledge articles
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, reporting, and automation using Microsoft technologies and enterprise systems

What You'll Bring:

• 3+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, Systems Analysis, or a similar IT-focused role
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Data, Business or a related field; or an associate degree with relevant professional certifications
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional documentation, technical solutions or system improvements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand and improve business processes
• Experience working with ERP, HRIS, financial, project management, document management, or other enterprise business systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Excel, and reporting or visualization tools such as Power BI
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver results with limited day-to-day oversight.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in construction, engineering, architecture, field services, manufacturing, or another project-based industry
• Familiarity with enterprise platforms used for ERP, project management, document management or field operations, such as Vista by Viewpoint, Autodesk ACC, Hyland OnBase or Oracle P6
• Experience with Microsoft technologies such as SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate or workflow automation tools.
• Experience with SQL, data analysis, reporting or dashboard development.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

Work is primarily performed in an office environment with occasional visits to active construction sites. The employee must be able to safely navigate uneven terrain, stairs, and other jobsite conditions. The position requires prolonged periods of sitting, computer use, and effective communication. Occasional travel may be required.
