About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Grant Funding and Post-Award Management Specialist to join our dynamic team at University Health. This role is vital in overseeing the financial aspects of grant-funded projects, ensuring compliance with funding requirements, and supporting the effective management of post-award activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate across multiple departments. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactful healthcare initiatives while developing expertise in grant administration and financial oversight. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, finance departments, and external agencies to facilitate smooth grant operations and reporting.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. Prior experience in grant management, financial analysis, or healthcare funding is highly desirable. Familiarity with federal and state legislation related to healthcare funding and grants will be considered an advantage. Strong proficiency in financial software and reporting tools is required. Excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential for success in this role. Candidates must demonstrate integrity, accountability, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

Performs specialized functions in the areas of grant funding and post-award management. This individual will exhibit strong skills in budgeting, monitoring fiscal and operational variances, internal reporting, and contract compliance. Produces a variety of reports, presentations, and templates to support the completion of program requirements in a timely and efficient manner.

Develop and monitor budgets for grant-funded projects, ensuring adherence to funding guidelines and organizational policies.

Track and analyze financial data to identify variances, discrepancies, and potential risks, implementing corrective actions as needed.

Prepare detailed financial reports and documentation for internal review, external auditors, and funding agencies.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations related to grant management and healthcare funding.

Coordinate with project teams to facilitate accurate and timely reporting, invoicing, and documentation submissions.

Assist in the preparation of grant proposals, budgets, and progress reports to secure and maintain funding.

Maintain accurate records of grant activities, expenditures, and contractual obligations.

Support audits and compliance reviews by providing necessary documentation and insights.

Stay updated on changes in legislation and funding policies to ensure ongoing compliance and best practices.
