About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Grant Funding and Post-Award Management Specialist to join our dynamic team at University Health. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing grant funding activities, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and managing post-award processes effectively. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong financial acumen, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to produce accurate reports and presentations to support program objectives. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to our mission of advancing healthcare through effective grant management and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience in grant management, financial monitoring, or related roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of federal and state legislation related to healthcare funding and compliance is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial software and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Performs specialized functions in the areas of grant funding and post-award management. This individual will exhibit strong skills in budgeting, monitoring fiscal and operational variances, internal reporting, and contract compliance. Produces a variety of reports, presentations, and templates to support the completion of program requirements in a timely and efficient manner.
Manage the full lifecycle of grant awards, including application review, budget development, and compliance monitoring.
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and organizational policies regarding funding and healthcare provision.
Collaborate with program staff to develop budgets, monitor expenditures, and prepare financial reports.
Identify and resolve fiscal and operational variances, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
Maintain detailed documentation of grant activities, financial transactions, and compliance records.
Coordinate with external agencies, funding bodies, and internal departments to facilitate smooth grant operations.
Assist in the preparation of grant proposals, progress reports, and other related documentation.
Stay updated on changes in legislation and funding guidelines to ensure ongoing compliance and optimal utilization of resources.
