About The Role
The Business Analyst at The Home Depot Canada plays a pivotal role in driving digital transformation and operational efficiency. This position is responsible for gathering and documenting requirements related to website, mobile application, and retail channel enhancements. As a key liaison between technical teams, business units, and external partners, the Business Analyst ensures that technology solutions align with strategic objectives and customer needs. The role involves analyzing current processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting the development and implementation of innovative web-based solutions. Working closely with the Ecommerce Product Management Team, the Business Analyst contributes to shaping the digital customer experience and optimizing business operations. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and project lifecycle management, with a focus on delivering measurable results that support the company's growth initiatives.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a university or college degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of five years of experience as a Business Analyst within product, project, or change management environments is required. Proficiency in agile and waterfall methodologies is preferred, along with strong technical knowledge of ecommerce technologies and web development. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Experience with data analysis tools such as Firebase, Google Analytics, Tableau, or Adobe is considered an asset. Bilingual proficiency in French and English is advantageous. Certifications like CSPO are also beneficial, showcasing a commitment to professional growth and expertise in product ownership and agile practices.
Responsibilities
- Define and document customer business functions and processes, identifying opportunities for process improvements through information systems or operational changes. Assist in preparing proposals for new systems or procedural adjustments.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to gather, define, and document business needs, operational procedures, problems, and system access requirements.
- Serve as a liaison among end users, technical analysts, IT teams, and third-party vendors during analysis, design, configuration, testing, and maintenance phases to ensure optimal system performance.
- Analyze the feasibility of new systems and enhancements, ensuring designs meet user needs. Document changes thoroughly and develop detailed procedures for end-user training and support.
- Collect and synthesize data and reports using analytics and industry research to support decision-making processes within Product Management.
- Participate in defining test cases, user acceptance testing, and evaluating new system functionalities. Develop training materials and conduct training sessions to ensure successful implementation and adoption.
