Building Code Analyst | $80/hr Remote

Position: Building Code Compliance Expert

Type: Contract

Compensation: $50 - $80/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week

Role Responsibilities

• Conduct reviews of architectural and engineering plans to assess building code compliance.
• Interpret blueprints, permit documents, zoning requirements, and construction documentation.
• Analyze code-related scenarios and provide clear compliance reasoning and recommendations.
• Identify permitting issues, code violations, and regulatory concerns across residential and commercial projects.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, inspectors, and permitting teams to resolve compliance questions.
• Deliver clear written reports and explanations related to code interpretation and compliance findings.

Requirements

• Have demonstrated experience in building codes, permitting, inspections, zoning, or plan review.
• Possess a strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documentation.
• Have experience working with residential and/or commercial construction projects.
• Have strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Be able to work independently and remotely while managing multiple assignments.
• Have experience collaborating with cross-functional project teams.
