  • We're seeking an experienced AML Operations Quality Assurance Analyst to join a growing Financial Intelligence and AML team supporting one of Canada's largest financial institutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your AML investigations expertise while transitioning into a quality assurance and oversight capacity that directly impacts the effectiveness of financial crime detection programs.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • As an AML Operations Quality Assurance Analyst, you will:
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews on AML investigations, alerts, and case management activities
  • Assess Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (ML/TF) risks across a broad range of customer types and products
  • Review and evaluate Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and investigative findings
  • Identify quality gaps, trends, and opportunities for process improvement
  • Provide recommendations to management regarding AML controls and risk mitigation
  • Ensure compliance with AML/ATF regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Participate in calibration sessions and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Support the development and maintenance of QA procedures, frameworks, and documentation
  • Act as a subject matter expert and guide team members
  • Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • What We're Looking For
  • Must-Have Qualifications
  • ✅ 5+ years of AML investigations experience
  • ✅ Strong experience writing and filing Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs)
  • ✅ In-depth knowledge of AML regulations, including the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA)
  • ✅ Experience assessing complex ML/TF risks and documenting recommendations
  • ✅ Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills
  • ✅ Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • ✅ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and research/database tools
  • ✅ College diploma or university degree
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • ⭐ AML Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience
  • ⭐ ACAMS Certification
  • ⭐ Previous experience within a major Canadian financial institution
  • ⭐ Familiarity with AML processes and systems
