Role overview

RBC’s Chief Audit Executive group provides independent assurance and advisory services across the enterprise.

This four-month co-op offers a consulting-style experience involving strategic, analytical, and problem-solving initiatives beyond traditional audit execution.

The role supports Internal Audit leadership through Delivery Excellence work.

Responsibilities

• Support strategy, process improvement, analytics, and transformation-related projects.
• Apply structured thinking to ambiguous and evolving problem statements.
• Research and analyze business units, risk areas, and processes to identify themes and improvement opportunities.
• Design and own technology- and AI-enabled process improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on innovative solutions.
• Build executive presentations, develop strategy, and communicate project business value.

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in business, accounting, finance, analytics, strategy, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation ability.
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint or similar tools.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams, meet deadlines, and develop creative solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in internal audit, evolving technology, consulting, or enterprise strategy is an asset.
• Previous co-op or project-based experience is an asset.
• Exposure to analytics, strategy, operations, or business transformation is an asset.
• Stakeholder management and experience presenting insights to non-technical or senior audiences are assets.

Student eligibility

Candidates must return to school after the work term or require the complete work term as a mandatory graduation component.
