The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring data quality, facilitating data migration and integration projects, and developing insightful reporting solutions. This role requires a highly analytical professional capable of assessing large datasets, identifying data inconsistencies, and implementing cleansing and validation processes. The Technical Data Analyst will collaborate closely with technical and business stakeholders to support data governance, enterprise data management, and system integration efforts. The position is based in Boston, MA, with an initial duration through June 30, 2027, and the potential for extension based on project needs and performance.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of five years of experience in data analysis, data quality management, or data governance within enterprise environments is essential. Strong proficiency in SQL and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell is required, along with experience supporting data visualization tools like Tableau and Microsoft Power BI. Familiarity with enterprise data integration tools, API support, and cloud-based platforms, including MuleSoft and REST APIs, is highly desirable. Experience with Salesforce CRM, ETL processes, and data quality platforms such as Cloudingo, DemandTools, Informatica, or Talend will be advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in collaborative, Agile environments.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the Technical Data Analyst include performing comprehensive data profiling and quality assessments to identify issues such as duplicates, inconsistencies, and validation errors across enterprise datasets. The analyst will design and execute data cleansing, standardization, transformation, and reconciliation activities to enhance data integrity. Developing automated routines for data validation and exception reporting will be a key component of the role. Additionally, the analyst will build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau and/or Power BI, developing KPIs to monitor data quality, migration readiness, and operational performance. Supporting enterprise data migration efforts involves creating detailed data mapping documents, validation templates, and reconciliation reports, ensuring data accuracy during system transitions. The role also encompasses scripting and automation tasks, leveraging SQL, Python, or PowerShell to streamline data processes. Supporting API integrations and enterprise data exchanges using MuleSoft and REST APIs is essential, including testing, troubleshooting, and resolving integration issues. The analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, technical teams, and data governance groups, to define data requirements, ensure compliance with quality standards, and support enterprise data lifecycle management initiatives. Participation in Agile project environments and contributing to project planning and execution are also expected.
