Technical Business Analyst

An Initial AI Screening will be conducted for this role.

Contract Duration: 5 months

Typical Day in Role:

• Test Strategy, Automation & Framework Development
• Design and implement scalable automated testing frameworks across UI, API, and backend layers
• Define and maintain test automation standards, tools, and best practices
• Develop automated test suites for:
• Functional testing (UI/API)
• Integration and end-to-end workflows
• Regression testing
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous validation

• Quality Engineering & SDLC Integration
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and BAs to ensure testability of requirements and designs
• Participate in agile ceremonies, ensuring quality is embedded early in the SDLC
• Define acceptance criteria and test scenarios aligned to business and technical requirements
• Promote shift-left testing practices, including test-driven or behavior-driven approaches

• API, Data & Integration Testing
• Develop and execute automated tests for:
• RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations
• Data transformation and data pipeline validation
• Use SQL or similar tools to:
• Validate datasets
• Perform data reconciliation and integrity checks
• Ensure consistency and accuracy across multi-system data flows

• Defect Management & Root Cause Analysis
• Identify, log, and track defects across SIT/UAT/PROD environments
• Perform root cause analysis on defects and test failures
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure timely resolution and prevention of recurrence

• Performance & Non-Functional Testing
• Contribute to performance testing strategies including load and stress testing
• Validate system behavior under scale and peak usage conditions
• Ensure compliance with security, data governance, and regulatory requirements

• Release & Production Support
• Support release cycles by ensuring all automation suites pass quality gates
• Validate production readiness from a QA perspective
• Monitor production issues and enhance test coverage to prevent regressions

Must Have Skills:

• 8+ years of experience in QA / Test Automation roles
• Strong experience in automated testing for custom-built applications
• Expertise in:
• Test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST Assured)
• API testing and validation
• Test strategy and SDLC integration
• Proficiency in programming/scripting (Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar)
• Strong experience with CI/CD integration for automated testing
• Proficiency in SQL for data validation and troubleshooting
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Experience in banking or financial services environments
• Exposure to:
• Microservices architecture
• Event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka)
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with:
• Performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling)
• BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber)
• Familiarity with complex, multi-system enterprise workflows

Soft Skills Required:

• 1. Strong collaboration skills across engineering, QA, and business teams
• 2. Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure delivery environments
• 3. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• 4. Proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement of quality practices

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• ISTQB certification is an asset
