Hybrid Every Other Week onsite / 5 days in Westlake, TX

Our client seeks a Systems Analyst to join the Workplace Investing Technology team supporting the Defined Benefit platform. The role contributes to mission-critical pension systems by translating complex business needs into scalable solutions, improving data integrity, and supporting platform performance in a collaborative, iterative delivery environment.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $50.00 to $56.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Defined Benefit stakeholders to analyze requirements and translate them into actionable user stories and backlog items.
  • Perform complex data analysis and data mining across recordkeeping systems to support insights and issue resolution.
  • Partner with technical leads and architects to design, document, and maintain system flows, data models, and integration patterns.
  • Support the design and documentation of API contracts and enterprise integrations aligned with standards.
  • Develop an understanding of end-to-end platform architecture to perform impact analysis across interconnected systems.
  • Support production issue triage, root cause analysis, and timely resolution.
  • Contribute to team ceremonies, iterative planning, and continuous improvement to enhance delivery quality and efficiency.
  • Create epics and user stories, maintain documentation, and ensure clarity for engineering teams.

Experience Requirements

  • 4 to 6 years as a systems analyst with application lifecycle management and production support experience.
  • Experience with financial systems, recordkeeping platforms, or retirement and benefits administration, with Defined Benefit preferred.
  • Ability to distill business processes and objectives into well-defined epics, stories, and requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex business rules, including pension calculations, eligibility, and compliance, and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Decision-making skills in ambiguous situations using facts, knowledge, experience, and judgment.
  • Extensive data analysis skills with strong SQL proficiency.
  • Working knowledge of REST, SOAP, JSON, and APIs.
  • Working proficiency with object-oriented concepts, with Java as a plus.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and stakeholder management.
  • Proven success in a coordinated, iterative delivery environment.
  • Preferred: Defined Benefit domain knowledge, exposure to AWS or Azure, and experience with data governance, reconciliation, and audit processes.

Education Requirements

BS or above in a related field.
