2. About the Opportunity:
The Staff Machine Learning Engineer (Modeling), Support role focuses on leading machine learning initiatives that enhance customer support experiences across the organization’s ecosystem. This position drives innovation in intelligent, automated support systems, including customer-facing chatbots and internal tools, aiming to improve support quality, efficiency, and accessibility through advanced ML and generative AI technologies.
3. Responsibilities:
- • Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple machine learning projects from planning to long-term maintenance
- • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to define and drive ML roadmaps based on domain knowledge and industry trends
- • Guide team direction by identifying new ML/AI opportunities and advising on strategic decisions
- • Conduct R&D on next-generation chatbot architectures using technologies like LLMs, RAG, fine-tuning, and real-time inference
- • Design, deploy, and maintain ML models powering conversational agents and support chatbots
- • Develop ML-powered tools and real-time recommendation systems to enhance support agent effectiveness and customer outcomes
- • Serve as the technical representative for the team, communicating work and results to stakeholders and partners
4. Requirements:
- • Over 10 years of experience in machine learning, applied AI, or product ML roles with deep technical expertise
- • Demonstrated leadership skills influencing and aligning cross-functional teams
- • Proven impact in shaping systems or initiatives across multiple teams or functions
- • Experience delivering end-to-end ML features from problem framing through deployment and maintenance
- • Background with language models, dialog systems, or generative AI in production
- • Strong foundation in NLP, deep learning, or ML infrastructure best practices
- • Excellent communication skills for representing the team to leadership and stakeholders
- • Enthusiasm for R&D and advancing applied AI in conversational systems
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- • Zone A: $189,000—$283,600 USD
- • Zone B: $179,600—$269,400 USD
- • Zone C: $170,100—$255,100 USD
- • Zone D: $160,700—$241,100 USD
