Position: Data Engineer (Scala) Senior

Location: Charlotte, NC

Employment Type: Cliff W2

Duration: Long-Term Contract

Visa: Open to all work-authorized candidates.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Scala (Mandatory)
• Apache Spark using Scala (Not PySpark)
• Strong SQL skills
• ETL/Data Pipeline development
• Hadoop ecosystem (Hive/HDFS) is a plus
• Experience with Git and Agile methodologies

Senior Candidates

• 7+ years of Data Engineering experience
• Strong expertise in Scala, Spark, and large-scale data processing
• Performance tuning and data pipeline optimization
• Ability to mentor junior team members

Note: Candidates with only PySpark experience and no hands-on Scala experience will not be considered.
