About the Opportunity:

The SR ANALYST, CONSIGNMENT ACCOUNTING is responsible for managing and optimizing consignment accounting processes that impact inventory accuracy, vendor relations, and financial performance. This role ensures financial integrity and supports smarter decision-making by collaborating across merchandising, supply chain, and financial planning teams. It contributes to the organization's growth and operational excellence by enhancing process efficiency and financial controls.

Responsibilities:

• Lead consignment accounting processes including revenue recognition, inventory accounting, and vendor settlements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company policies.
• Analyze consignment inventory performance and provide actionable insights to Finance and Merchandising leadership.
• Manage month-end close activities for consignment accounts, ensuring accurate journal entries and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align inventory flows, contract terms, and financial impacts.
• Develop and maintain financial models for tracking consignment profitability, inventory turns, and vendor performance.
• Enhance internal controls to reduce risk and prepare for audits.
• Create reporting dashboards and summaries to communicate financial data clearly.
• Identify and implement automation and process improvements within ERP and reporting systems.
• Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Mentor junior analysts and promote continuous improvement within the finance team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4–6+ years of experience in corporate finance, accounting, or retail finance.
• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting and revenue recognition.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite and advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or equivalent certification.
• Experience with retail, e-commerce, or consignment business models.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience with process improvements or automation.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive business outcomes.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

Salary range $73,000 - $95,000, varying by geographic location and other factors.
