- Role Description The Financial Analyst role is a full-time, hybrid position based in Manhattan, NY, with flexibility for part-time work from home. The person in this role will support transaction execution by building and maintaining financial models, analyzing client financial statements, and preparing valuation and deal analytics. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting industry and company research, assisting with due diligence, and supporting the development of pitch materials, presentations, and client reports. The Financial Analyst will collaborate closely with senior bankers to assess transaction structures, model scenarios, and prepare materials that inform client recommendations. This role also involves monitoring financial and market trends, contributing to internal knowledge resources, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism in all deliverables.
- Qualifications
- Strong core finance skills, including Finance, Financial Planning, and understanding of Financial Reporting.
- Proficiency in analyzing Financial Statements and applying robust Analytical Skills to complex datasets.
- Experience building financial models, performing valuation analyses (e.g., DCF, comps, precedent transactions), and supporting transaction-related analytics.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with financial databases and research tools is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; relevant internships or 1–3 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, consulting, or related areas preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a small-team setting, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
