Specialist, Federal Data Science

Role Overview: A Lead Specialist in an advisory practice focused on transformation and data science.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and develop machine learning and data science solutions.
• Plan, execute, and deliver artificial intelligence projects using best practices.
• Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and design data analytics solutions, working with data engineers on ETL processes.
• Utilize diverse data sources, including social media, documents, images, videos, and operational data, to create data-driven products.
• Perform data analysis, manage experimentation, and build production-ready data science products with automation and MLOps pipelines.
• Develop dashboards, UI, and interactive tools to convert data into actionable insights and reports.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum five years of technical data science experience, preferably with U.S. Federal government consulting.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Expertise in applying AI techniques to meet business objectives.
• Proficiency in Python, R, Java, Scala, Spark, Hadoop, SQL, and data visualization tools like Tableau.
• Experience developing deep learning models (e.g., CNN, RNN) with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras.
• Cloud experience or certifications (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Knowledge of building AI pipelines, MLOps, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and orchestration tools.
• Ability to travel as needed and hold a U.S. Government Secret clearance.
