Software Quality Analyst

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined
• AS9100 Knowledge/Experience
• Experience with verification and validation processes
• Auditing Experience
• Data Analytics and/or Quality Engineering Experience
• Must be able to possess Secret Security Clearance
• Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance

Job Description

WHAT WE'RE DOING

The Software Quality Analyst will develop and maintain quality plans, procedures, and documentation that meet customer, regulatory, and corporate standards for both make‑ and buy‑item software.

THE WORK

• Responsibilities include managing a centralized database of quality data, collecting and analyzing key software metrics, and presenting trend analyses and corrective‑action recommendations to the Corrective Action Board and senior leadership.
• The role conducts internal software process audits, oversees peer‑review metric management, and participates in functional qualification testing, ensuring test results are captured and fed back into continuous‑improvement cycles.
• Additionally, the analyst witnesses software builds, verifies media integrity, and collaborates with manufacturing, engineering, supply‑chain, and customer teams to resolve quality issues, develop dispositions, and implement corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.

Desired Skills

• Tableau experience or similar data analytics tools
• Software Engineering / Software Quality experience
• Defect trending experience using Excel, PivotTables, Dashboards, Root Cause Analysis (e.g. 5Why, Ishikawa Diagrams, Flow Charts, Pareto Analysis).
• Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Audit experience (AS9100, ISO9001)
• Experience with development, production, and sustainment contracts.
• Secret Security Clearance

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
