2. About the Opportunity:
The Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition role focuses on supporting the organization’s AI team by managing data collection processes essential for training machine learning models. The position involves building and maintaining large-scale, cost-effective datasets and collaborating with research and engineering teams to enhance data quality and scale. This role contributes directly to powering the next generation of consumer and enterprise products by advancing the organization’s data capabilities.
3. Responsibilities:
- • Source new audio data and integrate it into the data ingestion pipeline.
- • Operate and enhance cloud infrastructure for data ingestion, using Google Cloud Platform and Terraform.
- • Collaborate with AI scientists to optimize cost, throughput, and data quality.
- • Participate in developing the roadmap for datasets that support AI initiatives.
4. Requirements:
- • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
- • 5+ years of software development experience.
- • Proficiency with bash and Python scripting in Linux environments.
- • Experience with Docker, Infrastructure-as-Code, and major cloud providers (GCP preferred).
- • Familiarity with web crawlers and large-scale data processing workflows is a plus.
- • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• The United States base salary range for this full-time position is $140,000-$200,000 plus bonus and equity, depending on experience.
