Senior Quantitative Analyst (F87D84E)

Referment is working with a global investment and technology firm to appoint a senior quantitative analyst within its systematic trading strategies. The mandate is hands-on: develop robust quantitative models from market data and contribute research that can support real trading decisions.

This role is for an established researcher with evidence that their models have worked in practice. Experience in transaction cost analysis or high-frequency trading is particularly relevant, but the central requirement is a rigorous track record of turning quantitative insight into successful models.

The Role

• Research and develop systematic trading signals using market and transaction data.
• Apply numerical and statistical methods to build models that remain robust outside the development sample.
• Evaluate implementation constraints, including execution costs and high-frequency market behaviour.
• Take a hands-on role in research, testing and technical implementation.
• Communicate findings clearly and collaborate with quantitative researchers and developers.

What We're Looking For

• A technical degree and an outstanding academic and professional record.
• A demonstrated history of developing successful quantitative models.
• Strong numerical, statistical and programming skills for extracting reliable signals from market data.
• Innovative analytical thinking, sound research judgment and excellent communication.
• Transaction cost analysis or high-frequency trading experience is highly relevant.

This could suit a senior quant researcher or systematic portfolio researcher who remains close to the data and code and can show measurable success from prior modelling work.
