2. About the Opportunity:

The Senior Healthcare Data Analytics Specialist is responsible for leading statistical and analytic projects focused on healthcare data. This role supports business and clinical decision-making by designing and executing complex analyses, developing data integration strategies, and building interactive dashboards. The specialist ensures data accuracy, identifies issues related to healthcare quality or risk adjustment, and translates findings into actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders. The position contributes to the organization's mission by enhancing the use of healthcare data to improve outcomes and operational efficiency.

3. Responsibilities:

  • Develop project plans, timelines, and technical objectives for healthcare data analytics
  • Apply statistical techniques using baseline or historical data for analysis
  • Support and improve business decisions through data-driven insights
  • Identify required clinical or healthcare data for problem-solving
  • Evaluate and maintain healthcare databases from multiple sources including electronic health records and public quality data
  • Prepare and cleanse data for processing
  • Design and implement data integration and mapping strategies
  • Create intuitive, interactive enterprise dashboards with guided analytics
  • Validate data for reliability, efficiency, and accuracy
  • Perform complex statistical analyses and modeling of clinical and operational data
  • Use statistical and visualization software such as SAS, R, SPSS, Stata, SQL, or Tableau
  • Conduct opportunity analyses, risk adjustment, predictive modeling, program evaluation, longitudinal analysis, and regression modeling
  • Perform trend analysis to detect anomalies and outliers
  • Identify healthcare quality and performance problems and recommend solutions
  • Write detailed analysis plans and documentation
  • Prepare data visualizations for reports to management and regulatory agencies

4. Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Statistics, Data Analytics, IT Management, Commerce, or related field, or foreign equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare data analytics or related roles
  • Proficiency in statistical analyses and data mining with software such as SAS, R, SPSS, Stata, SQL, SSRS, SQL Server, Minitab, or Tableau
  • Strong knowledge of analytical, quantitative, statistical, and biostatistical methodologies
  • Experience with algorithm design, interactive reporting, data visualization, database systems, trend and root cause analysis, programming languages, and logic design
  • Familiarity with Microsoft technologies including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio
  • Ability to telecommute
  • Authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship available)

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

  • Base Compensation Range $106,243—$116,243 USD
  • Position may be eligible for performance-based incentives
  • Actual pay based on knowledge, skills, experience, business needs, geographic location, and internal equity
