Role: Senior Financial Systems Analyst
Location: Washington, DC – Hybrid

Functional Tester – AP & Expense - Oracle Cloud (Fusion) Financials
• Resource to support Oracle Cloud Financials testing initiatives by executing end-to-end functional validation across core financial modules during implementation projects. Responsible for preparing test artifacts, validating business processes, managing defects, and ensuring high-quality delivery of financial systems. Works closely with business stakeholders, SMEs, and technical teams to align testing outcomes with business requirements, with a strong focus on accuracy, process integrity, and functional expertise.
Understand and analyze WMATA business process flows across General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Asset Management (AM).
Develop detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and documented process flows.
Zerform Unit, System, and End-to-End (E2E) testing for Oracle Financials Cloud modules.
Validate business processes across GL, AP, AR, and AM to ensure completeness and compliance with requirements.
Execute end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Acquire to Retire (A2R), and Order-to-Cash (O2C) testing cycles ensuring data accuracy and process integrity.
Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation.
Collaborate with business users, SMEs, and technical teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure quality delivery.
Support validation of integrations between Oracle Financials Cloud modules and external systems.
Perform data validation using delivered and custom reports within Oracle Cloud.

Required Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on experience in functional testing for Oracle Financials Cloud.
Strong functional expertise in Accounts Payable (invoices, payments, supplier management).
Strong functional expertise in Expense Management module (Expense templates, types, Approvals, advances etc.)
Good working knowledge of:
▪ General Ledger (journals, cross validation rules, allocations, period close)
▪ Accounts Receivable (billing, receipts, collections)
▪ Asset Management (asset capitalization, depreciation processes)
Experience executing full testing lifecycle including unit, system, and end-to-end testing.
Strong understanding of financial business processes and module interdependencies.
Ability to translate business requirements into effective and comprehensive test coverage.
Familiarity with testing methodologies and defect management processes.
Understanding of integrations between modules and external interfaces.
Basic experience running delivered and custom reports for data validation.
Ability to independently lead testing efforts with minimal guidance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with PeopleSoft Financials.
Prior experience in ERP implementation, transformation, or support projects.
Familiarity with Procurement, Treasury, and Projects/PPM modules.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
