Senior Engineering Manager, Data Platform

2. About the Opportunity:

The Senior Engineering Manager, Data Platform leads a team of data engineers responsible for maintaining critical data infrastructure. This role is essential for setting and executing the foundational data strategy across the organization, partnering with various functions to drive data platform initiatives that support business analytics and product goals.

3. Responsibilities:

• • Define short- and long-term strategy for the Data Platform in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• • Manage and support team members to ensure high performance and alignment with team objectives
• • Apply coaching, feedback, and delegation to meet business and individual goals
• • Identify team skill gaps and develop plans through development, hiring, or partnerships
• • Participate in code and design reviews and assist with technical challenges when needed
• • Collaborate with Engineering Leadership to enhance overall organizational effectiveness

4. Requirements:

• • Minimum 7 years of experience as a data engineer
• • At least 5 years of people management experience on engineering teams
• • Proficiency in SQL, Python, Terraform, and AWS cloud infrastructure
• • Experience with OLAP systems and data platform development and maintenance
• • Familiarity with Ruby on Rails
• • Preferred expertise in Cloud Architecture
• • Demonstrated leadership of multi-team projects across various functional domains
• • Strong communication skills with both technical teams and senior business leaders

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• • Salary Range: $182,000 - $231,000
• • Eligible for Competitive Bonus and Equity Offering
