The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and develop machine learning and data science solutions.
Responsibilities include planning and executing AI projects, understanding client needs, designing data analytics solutions, and working with data engineers on ETL processes for structured and unstructured data.
The candidate will leverage various data sources such as social media, documents, images, videos, and operational data to create innovative data-driven products.
Key duties also encompass performing explanatory data analysis, generating hypotheses, analyzing historical data, and applying machine learning, natural language processing, and statistical methods.
Additionally, the role involves developing dashboards, UI, and interactive tools to convert data into actionable insights and reproducible reports.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of three years of technical data science experience, with preferred U.S. Federal government consulting background.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Java, SQL, and related open-source libraries.
- Experience developing Deep Learning models (e.g., CNN, Recurrent) and applications (e.g., object detection, text recognition) using tools like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras.
- Familiarity with big data tools (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) and web frameworks (Flask, Django, Shiny, Dash).
- Experience utilizing cloud services in data environments.
- Ability to travel as needed and possess a U.S. Government Secret clearance.
