Senior Data Scientist - Clinical Informatics (Analytics Enablement)

2. About the Opportunity:

The Senior Data Scientist - Clinical Informatics (Analytics Enablement) role is focused on activating and managing clinical data assets to improve healthcare outcomes across business areas. This position serves as a critical link between clinical data resources and the teams that utilize them, ensuring data accessibility, quality, and proper documentation aligned with clinical and regulatory standards. The role supports data consumers by developing reusable data assets and frameworks that facilitate independent analytics and decision-making.

3. Responsibilities:

• Act as a subject matter expert on clinical data types, including CCD data, claims, pharmacy, lab results, and clinical documentation.
• Design and maintain clinical data models, taxonomies, and classification frameworks.
• Build and manage the clinical data feature store with standards and documentation.
• Develop validated and reusable clinical data assets to support analytics and reporting.
• Create and maintain comprehensive clinical data documentation covering dictionaries, lineage, and use guidelines.
• Build queries, dashboards, and visualizations for data quality and clinical insights.
• Collaborate with clinical, operational, and business stakeholders to meet data needs.
• Maintain data quality frameworks, including validation and monitoring processes.
• Translate clinical concepts into analytical frameworks for business partners.
• Work with data engineering teams to support data pipeline development.
• Contribute to data governance and compliance with privacy standards such as HIPAA.
• Deliver training and consultations on clinical data assets and analytics opportunities.
• Stay current with clinical data standards and best practices in clinical informatics.

4. Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in clinical informatics, healthcare analytics, or clinical data management.
• Expertise in various clinical data types and clinical coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED-CT, LOINC, NDC, RxNorm).
• Experience designing and documenting clinical data models and frameworks.
• Ability to support data consumers through documentation, training, and consultation.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python with experience handling large healthcare datasets.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery.
• Strong knowledge of data quality practices for healthcare data.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
