About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our innovative team. In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert, leading the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI and machine learning solutions. You will collaborate closely with other data scientists, data engineers, and cross-functional teams to create impactful data-driven products that enhance the quality of data sources serving our end-user products. Your expertise will help shape our AI capabilities, ensuring they align with business objectives and customer needs. You will also be responsible for analyzing large datasets to identify meaningful patterns and trends, guiding junior team members, and establishing best practices and governance frameworks for AI development.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s degree with 7-10 years of relevant experience or a PhD with at least 6 years of experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. Proven expertise in working with large language models (LLMs) and transformer-based architectures such as BERT, RoBERTa, T5, and others is essential. You should have hands-on experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or AWS cloud services. Familiarity with applying LLMs including ChatGPT, GPT 3.5, Claude, and Mistral is required. You must demonstrate proficiency in machine learning algorithms, including deep learning, gradient boosting, and random forests, alongside advanced programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages. Strong problem-solving abilities, leadership qualities, and experience mentoring junior data scientists are also necessary for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to design, develop, and implement innovative AI solutions that address complex business challenges.
  • Lead the development of sophisticated AI and machine learning models, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Analyze extensive datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and insights that inform AI development and enhance data quality.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and business stakeholders, to ensure AI solutions meet strategic objectives and customer requirements.
  • Evaluate existing frameworks, define new methodologies, and establish governance standards for AI and data science processes.
  • Mentor and guide junior data scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and best practices in AI and machine learning.
  • Partner with product leaders to integrate data science solutions into existing and new products, ensuring seamless deployment and performance.
  • Lead small to medium-sized teams, managing project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations effectively.
