Role Description The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support analytics and reporting across the organization. In this part-time remote role, the Senior Data Engineer will collaborate with investment, operations, and technology teams to gather data requirements, design data models, and implement robust ETL processes. Day-to-day tasks include developing and optimizing data workflows, managing data warehousing solutions, ensuring data quality and reliability, and supporting advanced data analytics initiatives. The role also involves documenting technical solutions, mentoring team members on best practices, and contributing to continuous improvement of the data architecture.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Data Engineering and Data Warehousing to build and maintain scalable data infrastructure.
Candidates should possess solid experience in Data Modeling and Extract Transform Load (ETL) to design efficient schemas and reliable data pipelines.
Candidates should possess capabilities in Data Analytics to support reporting, performance measurement, and data-driven decision-making.
Candidates should possess proficiency in modern data tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Python or similar, cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Candidates should possess experience with version control, CI/CD practices, and monitoring tools for data systems.
Candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote, part-time environment.
Candidates should possess excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and translate business needs into technical solutions.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
