  • Wellesley Cove Group is seeking a Senior Consultant, Healthcare Data Science & AWS to support client engagements at the intersection of healthcare, analytics, data science, and cloud-enabled solution delivery.

This role is ideal for a strong Senior Consultant coming from Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG, Accenture, or a similar consulting firm who has worked with healthcare clients and can operate across business stakeholders, technical teams, and data-driven delivery work.

The Senior Consultant will help assess client needs, analyze healthcare data, support data science and analytics initiatives, and contribute to the design and delivery of AWS-based solutions. The right candidate should be comfortable in consulting environments, able to structure ambiguous problems, produce high-quality client deliverables, and work hands-on with data and technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support healthcare-focused client engagements involving data analytics, data science, cloud platforms, and AI-enabled solutions
  • Work with client stakeholders to understand business needs, operational pain points, data sources, and analytical requirements
  • Analyze healthcare data sets and support the development of insights, models, dashboards, reporting outputs, or decision-support tools
  • Contribute to data science workstreams, including exploratory analysis, feature definition, model development support, model evaluation, and interpretation of results
  • Support the design and implementation of AWS-based data and analytics solutions
  • Work with technical teams on data pipelines, cloud architecture, data storage, analytics environments, and deployment considerations
  • Translate technical findings into clear, executive-ready business recommendations
  • Prepare high-quality client deliverables, including presentations, requirements documents, process maps, analytical summaries, and implementation plans
  • Support project management activities, including work planning, status updates, issue tracking, and stakeholder communications
  • Collaborate with consultants, data scientists, engineers, and client teams to deliver practical, measurable outcomes
  • Help identify opportunities to apply AI, automation, and advanced analytics to healthcare workflows
  • Required Qualifications
  • Prior consulting experience at Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG, Accenture, or a similar consulting / advisory firm
  • Experience working with healthcare clients, healthcare data, healthcare operations, payers, providers, life sciences, public health, or health technology organizations
  • Strong data analytics and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with data science concepts, including statistical analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning, or advanced analytics
  • Hands-on experience working with data using tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar
  • Experience with AWS cloud services in a data, analytics, AI/ML, or solution delivery context
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both business and technical stakeholders
  • Strong PowerPoint / executive communication skills and ability to produce client-ready deliverables
  • Ability to structure ambiguous problems and move work forward with limited direction
  • Strong attention to detail and consulting-quality standards
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, SageMaker, Lambda, Bedrock, EC2, or related services
  • Experience with healthcare data standards or systems such as claims data, EHR/EMR data, HL7, FHIR, Epic, Cerner, CMS data, quality measures, or revenue cycle data
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QuickSight, or Looker
  • Experience supporting AI, machine learning, or generative AI use cases in healthcare
  • Experience with data governance, data quality, data lineage, privacy, or compliance considerations
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, healthcare privacy requirements, or regulated data environments
  • Experience working in agile, product, or technology delivery environments
  • Ideal Candidate Profile
  • The ideal candidate is a consulting-trained Senior Consultant who can combine healthcare domain understanding with strong analytics, data science, and cloud delivery experience. This person does not need to be a pure engineer, but should be technical enough to work effectively with data scientists, architects, and developers while remaining business-facing and client-ready.
  • We are looking for someone who can help clients move from ambiguous healthcare data and AI ideas into structured workplans, practical analytical outputs, and implementable AWS-enabled solutions.

Base salary: $130,000 per year plus benefits
