HII has an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Compensation Analyst 4 at our office in Newport News, VA! A Corporate Compensation Analyst 4 implements and administers compensation, incentive and equity policy, procedures, practices and programs to ensure alignment with HII strategy, goals, market competitiveness, equitable pay and legal compliance. Candidate will conduct surveys, analyze compensation trends and ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws regulating compensation practices and maintain documentation to support audits from various government agencies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the administration of compensation programs including base pay, bonuses and incentive plans. Review program effectiveness and prepare data-driven recommendations for program improvement
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to compare company pay with industry standards and market trends. Collaborate with HR Business Partners to structure competitive compensation packages for corporate hires and internal movements
- Perform job evaluations and analyses to establish and maintain market rates, salary structures, job descriptions and job classifications. Collaborate with division HR, various corporate departments and management to implement compensation strategies and communicate pay structures effectively
- Support the merit process and validate pay adjustments, budgets and internal equity. Provide employees with communications informing them of changes in pay, bonuses, equity, etc.
- Support the administration of equity programs. Develop detailed communication documents for participants, collaborate with HRIS to ensure employee records are properly updated. Regularly update the system and develop reports using the Fidelity equity administration system
- Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations to ensure ongoing corporate compliance. Support responses to requests arising from DCAA, OFCCP, and other government agency inquiries and audits
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, plus a minimum of 10 years of applicable, progressive professional experience in compensation and salary administration; or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline and 8 years of applicable, progressive professional experience
- Familiarity with equity award types (stock options, RSUs, PSUs, SARs), vesting schedules, and related tax implication
- Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to present complex compensation concepts to executive-level audience
NICE TO HAVE
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Human Resources Management
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and/or Certified Executive Compensation Professional (CECP) designation from WorldatWork
- Thorough understanding of the financial and accounting implications of executive rewards programs, as well as a thorough understanding of related legislative and regulatory issues impacting executive rewards programs
