- Job Title: Lead Business Analyst with AI
- Location : St. Petersburg, FL (Hybrid)
- Duration: Long Term
- Only USC/ GC on W2
- Job Description
- As part of a development technology team, the Lead Business Analyst is responsible for partnering with business units, technology teams, and stakeholders to define, analyze, and document well-formed requirements for AI-enabled business process automation solutions. This role will support the design and delivery of agentic workflows that automate business processes using AI, including workflows that apply both deterministic rules-based processing and judgment-based decisioning.
- The Lead Business Analyst will use AI-assisted analysis and requirements writing techniques to improve the speed, clarity, completeness, and quality of business and functional requirements. This individual will play a key role in translating business needs into actionable requirements, user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, and solution documentation that enable rapid, high-quality delivery.
- This role requires strong analytical thinking, business process understanding, stakeholder communication, and the ability to work across business and technical teams to ensure solutions meet business objectives, compliance expectations, and operational needs.
- This role supports an active initiative to automate account-opening and inception workflows within Asset Management Services operations, using an agentic-AI pipeline that gathers account data, validates it against a rules engine, completes clean accounts straight through, and routes exceptions to a person for review. The successful candidate will first ramp quickly on the existing business case, solution design, and requirements and become the internal subject-matter reference for the initiative; then partner closely with operations leadership and subject-matter experts to develop the process to the level of detail the build requires; and partner with the development team to prototype and iteratively validate the solution.
Skills:
- Ramp quickly on the existing business case, solution design, process maps, and requirements for the initiative, and serve as the internal subject-matter reference for the automated account-opening workflow.
- Own the validation rules catalog: decompose business-authored requirements into discrete, individually reported, testable predicates with business sign-off, and maintain the step-level process map that the build consumes.
- Embed with operations leadership and subject-matter experts to resolve open questions, confirm authoritative data sources, and define exception handling, escalation paths, and human-in-the-loop decision points.
- Define ground-truth and evaluation criteria for shadow-mode measurement, and help validate agent outputs against historical account outcomes before any live cutover.
- Partner with developers to prototype the solution and iterate rapidly, translating process and rules knowledge into working requirements the build can consume.
- Partner with business units, product owners, technology teams, operations, compliance, and other stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business needs.
- Lead requirements-gathering sessions, workshops, interviews, process reviews, and discovery activities.
- Develop clear, complete, testable, and well-structured business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and decision logic.
- Support the design and delivery of agentic workflows that automate business processes using AI.
- Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for automation, AI enablement, workflow optimization, and operational efficiency.
- Document deterministic rules, judgment-based rules, exception handling, escalation paths, and human-in-the-loop decision points.
- Use AI-assisted tools and techniques to support requirements writing, requirements analysis, process documentation, gap analysis, impact analysis, and backlog refinement.
- Validate AI-assisted outputs for accuracy, completeness, business alignment, and appropriate use.
- Translate complex business processes and rules into structured requirements that can be understood by developers, testers, architects, and business stakeholders.
- Work with technical teams to ensure requirements are feasible, properly understood, and aligned with solution design.
- Support Agile delivery by creating and refining backlog items, defining acceptance criteria, supporting sprint planning, and participating in demos and retrospectives.
- Facilitate alignment across stakeholders and resolve ambiguity, conflicting requirements, and process gaps.
- Support testing activities by helping define test scenarios, reviewing test cases, validating results, and ensuring traceability to requirements.
- Assist with change management, implementation planning, stakeholder readiness, training documentation, and post-implementation support.
- Maintain current knowledge of AI-assisted business analysis practices, workflow automation concepts, and emerging tools.
- Minimum of 7+ years of business analysis, systems analysis, product analysis, or related experience.
- Strong experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting well-formed business and functional requirements.
- Experience working directly with business units and technology teams to translate business needs into actionable delivery artifacts.
- Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, process flows, use cases, data requirements, and functional specifications.
- Experience using AI-assisted tools or techniques to support requirements development, documentation, analysis, summarization, or backlog refinement.
- Strong understanding of business process analysis, workflow design, decision logic, exception handling, and operational process improvement.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Minimum of 7+ years of business analysis, systems analysis, product analysis, or related experience.
- Skills
- Ability to analyze deterministic rules-based processes as well as judgment-based business decisioning.
- Experience supporting Agile delivery teams and working with product owners, developers, QA, architects, and business stakeholders.
- Strong communication, facilitation, analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, drive clarity, and produce high-quality requirements in a fast-paced delivery environment.
- Financial Services experience or experience in a highly regulated enterprise environment.
- Experience supporting AI-enabled solutions, workflow automation, intelligent automation, or agentic workflow initiatives.
- Experience documenting human-in-the-loop processes, decision trees, rules engines, exception handling, or operational controls.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, or similar platforms.
- Experience with data mapping, API requirements, system integrations, reporting requirements, or enterprise application modernization.
- Experience supporting testing, UAT coordination, production validation, and business readiness activities.
- Experience with compliance, risk, audit, privacy, data governance, or model governance considerations related to AI-enabled solutions.
- Experience leading other analysts, coordinating analysis work across initiatives, or mentoring junior business analysts.
- Experience in managed-account, brokerage, or investment-operations back-office processes such as account opening, onboarding, or inception.
- Experience decomposing complex business rules into discrete, testable, individually verifiable logic for a rules engine or decision service.
- Experience defining evaluation criteria, ground-truth, or acceptance measures for AI or machine-learning outputs, including shadow-mode or human-in-the-loop validation.
- Experience prototyping alongside engineering teams in a rapid, iterative delivery model.
