Senior Business Analyst

About the Role:

We’re expanding our team with a detail-oriented Senior Business Analyst to work collaboratively across multiple stakeholders and systems to analyze data using SQL, manage agile development workflows, and design QA processes that ensure high-quality outcomes.

What You'll Do:

• Apply knowledge of software development processes, such as agile methodology and working with project management and issue tracking tools (like JIRA)
• Use SQL scripts to analyze data sets for reporting and QA
• Track and prioritize requirements across multiple entities and a diverse set of stakeholders while ensuring timely deliverables
• Design and execute QA test plans and processes to ensure fidelity to the letter and spirit of requirements
• Utilize strong analytical skills and attention to detail in process design
• Leverage strong communication skills to work with technical and non-technical teams at all levels, including senior management, internally and externally
• Collaborate and work as part of a team effectively

Key Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a technology, consulting, or data-driven environment
• Strong understanding of software development processes and Agile methodologies
• Hands-on experience with project management and issue tracking tools, such as JIRA
• Proficient in writing and executing SQL queries for data analysis, reporting, and QA validation
• Demonstrated ability to gather, document, and manage business and technical requirements across diverse stakeholder groups
• Experience designing and executing test plans to validate data and functional requirements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail in process and solution design
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team
• Familiarity with cloud platforms is preferred
• Experience using data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is preferred
• Success with utilizing AI technologies to expedite and/or increase the quality and accuracy of analytical work is preferred
• Understanding of education data systems or experience working with K-12 schools, districts, or education-focused non-profits is preferred
