Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong knowledge of Life Insurance and Actuarial processes. The ideal candidate should understand different life insurance products and have experience working with actuarial, underwriting, product, business, and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand business needs and convert them into clear business and technical requirements.
• Work closely with actuarial, insurance, underwriting, product, and IT teams.
• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and functional documentation.
• Support life insurance product development, pricing, policy valuation, and reserve-related activities.
• Understand end-to-end insurance processes, including new business, policy administration, billing, claims, and servicing.
• Coordinate requirement discussions, stakeholder meetings, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to existing systems and workflows.
• Support testing and ensure delivered solutions meet business expectations.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience in Retail Life Insurance.
• Good understanding of the following insurance products:
• ✅ Term Life Insurance
• ✅ Whole Life Insurance
• ✅ Universal Life Insurance (UL)
• ✅ Variable Universal Life Insurance (VUL)
• Knowledge of actuarial concepts, including pricing, valuation, reserves, mortality and lapse assumptions, and risk analysis.
• Experience in business analysis, requirement gathering, documentation, process mapping, and gap analysis.
• Hands-on experience with BRD, FRD, User Stories, UAT, and stakeholder management.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
• Good SQL knowledge.

Good to Have:

• Experience in US, Canadian, or LATAM life insurance markets.
• Exposure to insurance product migration, digital transformation, or cloud modernization projects.
• Understanding of insurance regulations and actuarial reporting.
