  • Pulse is seeking a Seismic Data Administrator to join our Data Services team. Pulse Seismic is a
  • market leader in the acquisition, marketing and licensing of 2D and 3D seismic data for the
  • western Canadian energy sector. Publicly traded on the TSX, Pulse owns the largest licensable
  • seismic data library in Canada.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Pulse’s Calgary, Alberta office.

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • The Seismic Data Administrator fulfills a key function within the Data Services team. This role
  • supports the accuracy of metadata in the Seismic Database and contributes to core Data
  • Services workflows, including contracts and licensing research, partner communications, sale
  • advice, quarterly partner reporting and license administration.
  • The Seismic Data Administrator also provides back-up capacity to the Data Services Inside Sales
  • Representative and Data Services Technical Representative as required. There is opportunity to
  • grow into expanded responsibilities over time as the role develops within the team, with
  • potential to cross-train into other Data Services functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • • Support the accuracy of metadata maintained in the Seismic Database.
  • • Respond to routine partner inquiries and maintain partner contact records.
  • • Provide back-up support to the Data Services Inside Sales Representative and Data Services Technical Representative as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education and Experience
  • • Related post-secondary education, or equivalent experience.
  • • Background in seismic data management, land administration, or the energy sector.
  • • Working knowledge of oil & gas and seismic terminology.
  • • Experience with contract administration is desirable.
  • Skills and Abilities
  • • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task across competing deadlines.
  • • Detail oriented and focused on accurate reporting.
  • • Self-motivated, with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • • Comfort handling confidential and partner-sensitive information.
  • Software Knowledge
  • • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • • Experience with Seismic Data Management Systems is an asset.
  • • Familiarity with document management or contract management systems is an asset.
