SAP ECC Vendor Master Data Lead

The SAP ECC Vendor Master Data Lead (Finance) will drive the strategic, planning, data profiling, cleansing, and standardization of vendor master records. This role bridges the gap between Finance business requirements, Procurement operations, and IT technical teams to ensure high-quality, compliant financial master data across the enterprise.

• Strategy & Governance
• • Define global vendors master data standards, and data governance policies.
• • Establish data validation rules for critical financial fields like bank details, tax IDs, and payment terms.
• • Design future-state data update workflows approvals to prevent the reintroduction of duplicate or poor-quality data.
• Data Cleansing & Harmonization
• • Lead enterprise-wide vendor data profiling to identify duplicates, inactive accounts, and missing records.
• • Coordinating with regional Finance and Procurement leads to validating and enriching vendor information.
• • Define and execute automated and manual data cleansing strategies using SAP-native tools or specialized software.
• Migration & Integration
• • Map legacy SAP ECC vendor data structures and fields to the harmonized target model.
• • Oversee data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL processes) for financial vendor data.
• • Lead reconciliation and validation cycles (mock data loads) to ensure 100% financial accuracy before go-live.

Requirements:

• § Minimum 7+ years of experience in SAP master data management with a focus on Vendor Master
• § Deep knowledge of SAP Finance modules (FI-AP) and their integration with Procurement (MM).
• § Proven track record leading at least two large-scale data harmonization, cleansing, or migration projects.
• § Strong proficiency in data profiling and migration tools (e.g., SAP LSMW, Winshuttle, SAP MDG, or SQL).
• § Advanced understanding of global tax requirements (W-8/W-9, VAT, GST) and banking configurations (IBAN, SWIFT).

Core Competencies:

• § SAP Modules: Knowledge of core components like MM (Material Management) and FI (Financial Accounting).
• § Data Domains: Expertise in managing key objects on Vendors Master records.
• § Data Migration: Ability to move and transform data safely using tools like LSMW or SAP S/4HANA migration workbenches without corruption.
