- Position Title: Research Analyst
- Work Location: North Chicago, IL 60064 (Hybrid)

Position Summary: The position is within analytical outsourcing and is a support role. Previous contracting efforts relied heavily on the business side, which resulted in a knowledge gap in the scientific portion.
Background & Context: Moving forward, the focus is on candidates with a stronger scientific background because the business side can be learned on the job.
Key Responsibilities:
- • The position is within analytical outsourcing and is a support role. Previous contracting efforts relied heavily on the business side, which resulted in a knowledge gap in the scientific portion. Moving forward, the focus is on candidates with a stronger scientific background because the business side can be learned on the job.
- • The role works with external program leads at our organization to outsource analytical work packages. Responsibilities can include setting up stability studies at service providers, selecting service providers based on their capabilities to perform the required scientific testing, and supporting test method transfers.
- • The role involves determining whether co-validation or co-transfer is needed at the service provider and assessing whether the service provider can support early-phase studies and potentially later-phase studies.
- • The position works with Procurement to put contracts in place, Business Operations for invoicing and PM generation, and analytical leads regarding the type of testing required, service-provider capabilities, and when timelines need to start.
- • This is not a laboratory role. It is a support function that coordinates with analytical teams and does not involve clearing samples.
Qualification & Experience:
- • Laboratory experience is critical to the role, and a strong scientific and analytical background is the key requirement.
- • Candidates should have analytical experience and understand how stability studies are set up and what is required under ICH conditions.
- • Candidates should have knowledge of the analytical aspects of outsourced work, including method transfer, robustness, intermediate precision, and stability studies for drug substance or drug product.
- • Strong collaboration skills are required because the role works with multiple departments.
- • Strong organizational and multitasking skills are required because the position involves multiple moving parts and requires managing multiple projects while meeting deliverables.
- • Candidates with a quality or regulatory background are also open for consideration because that knowledge can provide an understanding of the analytical environment.
- • A Bachelor’s degree is required and is the minimum education requirement for our organization.
