About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to join our team. The individual in this role will be responsible for generating comprehensive test documentation, performing end-to-end testing, and building and executing automated test cases to ensure the quality and functionality of our software solutions. The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of experience in a QA function, including executing testing scenarios, identifying defects, and providing detailed testing results. This role involves translating business requirements into technical test plans, collaborating with engineering teams to strategize testing approaches, and supporting the full testing lifecycle. The QA Specialist will play a critical role in maintaining high standards of software quality, supporting product releases, and ensuring the end-user experience is seamless and reliable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in a QA role with a focus on system, integration, and user acceptance testing
  • Proficiency in testing plans, documentation, and execution across multiple development cycles
  • At least 2 years of SQL or relevant database experience
  • Experience with traditional Scrum, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C#, Java, or Python
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools like Selenium
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes and technical aspects of business systems
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements and processes into detailed technical requirements and configuration settings specific to software applications
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with programs or projects, recommending and implementing risk reduction strategies
  • Develop and implement test strategies to ensure solutions meet functionality, performance, and reliability standards
  • Collaborate with team leads and engineering resources to plan and strategize testing approaches
  • Perform end-to-end testing efficiently, adhering to project deadlines
  • Support test orchestration activities, utilizing problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
  • Record, log, and track defects within the system, coordinating resolutions with development and functional teams
  • Analyze test results to identify and document defects or undesirable outcomes promptly
  • Manage projects from a quality assurance perspective, maintaining a focus on the end-user experience
  • Own and oversee specific workstreams or product lines, reviewing and testing activities throughout the project lifecycle
  • Participate in daily engineering meetings to communicate project status and testing progress
  • Assist the support team with product defect exploration, troubleshooting, and technical issue analysis
  • Build and execute automated test cases to improve testing efficiency and coverage
  • Provide technical training and product expertise during implementation and training sessions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support team objectives and project needs
