About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Benefits Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing client accounts, administering employee benefits programs, and providing exceptional support to both clients and their employees. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of employee benefits administration, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our clients by delivering innovative benefits solutions and ensuring seamless program execution. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely delivery of benefits services.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Prior experience in employee benefits administration or a similar role is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of benefits programs, insurance policies, and compliance regulations is essential. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously are critical. Candidates should demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and possess a customer-centric approach. Proficiency in benefits administration software and Microsoft Office Suite is required. A professional certification such as CEBS or similar is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Benefits Specialist will be responsible for a variety of key duties, including but not limited to:

  • Administering employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.
  • Processing enrollments, changes, and terminations accurately and efficiently.
  • Providing guidance and support to clients and employees regarding benefits options and inquiries.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to employee benefits.
  • Preparing and maintaining detailed records of benefits transactions and communications.
  • Assisting with the renewal process and negotiating with insurance carriers to optimize benefits offerings.
  • Conducting employee education sessions and benefits orientations.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to improve benefits administration processes and systems.
  • Staying updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in employee benefits.
