(Programmer Analyst):||W2 WORK

• Participate in planning, coordinating, developing, and implementing data modernization projects related to vital statistics and vital records.
• Focus on enhancements and modernization of the Virginia Vital Events and Screening Tracking System (VVESTS), built on Oracle Application Express (APEX).
• Develop new Oracle APEX application pages and components to support modernization efforts.
• Strengthen security controls to protect sensitive data (PII and PHI) and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Improve user experience by implementing modern UI capabilities.
• Ensure the long-term sustainability and performance of the VVESTS platform.
• Integrate VVESTS with various state and federal partners.
• Utilize Oracle 11g/18c/19c databases, strong SQL and PL/SQL skills, and JavaScript or jQuery.
• Desired skills include experience with Oracle PL/SQL web toolkit and RESTful/SOAP web services.
• Hybrid work schedule in Richmond, VA (first 30 days fully onsite, then 3 days onsite per week).
