Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a defense manufacturing organization, is seeking a skilled Financial Analyst for a short-term contract. This role is responsible for analyzing project financials, supporting program reporting, maintaining performance metrics, and assisting with budget forecasting for complex defense vehicle development programs.
This position is a short-term contract position. The schedule for the role is Monday-Friday on a 9x80 schedule (every other Friday off).
- Job Duties
- Analyze planned vs. actual costs, schedule performance, and earned value data to assess project performance
- Support monthly consolidated dashboards, financial reports, and program performance updates
- Assist project managers and Cost Account Managers with budget development, forecasting, and performance tracking
- Develop resource-loaded project plans, quantifiable backup data, and financial reporting inputs
- Support preparation of IPMDAR and Contractor Cost and Software Reporting deliverables
- Maintain program control structures, including CLIN-to-work package mapping, WBS-to-charge number alignment, and IMS-to-finance system schema
- Manage Program Management Baseline changes through established baseline change processes
- Support development of compliant project management, financial reporting, and program control processes
- Skills & Experience
- Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in DoD contract program finance reporting
- Project cost management and budget forecasting experience
- Financial analysis experience with project cost, schedule, and earned value data
- Experience with DI-MGMT-81861A and DoD EVMS Interpretation Guide requirements
- Familiarity with Contractor Cost and Software Reporting requirements
- Experience supporting program finance reporting for complex defense or government contract programs
- Ability to travel up to 10%, including occasional international travel

- Deltek Project and Portfolio Management tool experience
- Material Management and Accounting Systems experience
- Cost Accounting Standards knowledge
- ProPricer software experience
- Familiarity with DoD IPMR Implementation Guide requirements
- Knowledge of MIL-STD-881D and Integrated Master Schedule standards
